Entrepreneurial Woman Project (EWP)

The fact that you have reached the 8th edition of the EWP is not surprising as this is the result of the importance and uniqueness of this initiative addressed to English speaking women in Luxembourg willing to challenge themselves and approach the world of entrepreneurship.

Over recent years, we have seen more and more women emerging in the entrepreneurship industry and we know that the challenges they have to face are not easy, even more after two years of Covid lockdown (in terms of work-life balance).

Thanks to the EWP initiative, women will get the necessary help to overcome part of them. In particular, through the different coaching sessions, they will learn how to be more confident and launch a business from scratch helped by experts who will accompany them at each step of the process.

I’m happy that there are so many women that are ready to launch their own businesses. The Entrepreneurial Women Project is the perfect programme to help these women acquire additional knowledge and be prepared for the challenges of such new business initiatives. As a trainer on corporate income tax and personal tax aspects, I hope that sharing my knowledge and giving them advice will be useful to them in choosing the right set-up for starting their business and facilitate their day-to-day management.

I was brought to the EWP training by my genuine interest to better understand the main ideas behind “doing business”, as I had always considered myself quite far from commercial, profitable entrepreneurial activity.

As a result of EWP, I came to a major twist in my consciousness which happened through realisation that all of my activities and work in the non-profit sphere have been just as “business” as ever! I embraced my very own business experience and potential.

At the training, I was honoured to present activities of our newly registered asbl Belle Bandura, which started as a duo of Ukrainian Songs and Bandura Music back in 2020, with my colleague and friend Nadiya Balych. Since the day I first came to Luxembourg in 2019, I wanted to find and later to found a Ukrainian Cultural Center of Luxembourg and so I took this ambitious incentive as a project to present at the final stage of our EWP and I cannot thank enough for the great support it had received.

Today, despite the tragic context, and as never before, we are responsible to share our ancient and authentic Ukrainian culture and traditions, and explain the true historical prerequisites to all the mind-twisting realities of modern Ukraine, greatly affecting the whole world.

Thank you very much for this opportunity. It was very interesting and rewarding. I am sure that I will use new knowledge often and a lot. Before training, I had little idea how I could develop here, but after the training, it is much easier and easier for me to navigate the new environment for me. Thank you very much and hope that we will meet many more times and cooperate in the future

I came to EWP 2021 with quite a clear idea of what kind of business I wanted to build, and there was still so much to learn! I appreciated the diversity of topics covered and the tools provided by the speakers. Developing my idea in such a motivating and empowering atmosphere was the most valuable experience. It was a pleasure to connect with other smart, goal-oriented, and at the same time caring women during this project.

Now, two years later, I have my own bodywork therapy practice, specialising in chronic pain, muscular tension, and posture/balance issues. I also enjoy working with women helping them to smoothly adapt to body changes and new movement requirements during pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and menopause transition, as well as to find inner support during chronic fatigue periods.

So honoured to complete the Entrepreneurial Woman Project. During the course of the project, I met over 20 creative and ambitious ladies and more than 15 experts coming from different business and law sectors. I would like to thank the Luxembourg-Poland Chamber of Commerce for this opportunity. After reflecting on what we all pulled off, I am “over the top” in appreciation for all that you have done.

The EWP is an amazing program that I highly recommend to any new or aspiring businesswoman in Luxembourg. The sessions are very informative and provide useful and targeted guidance on how to start a business in Luxembourg. The presenters are knowledgeable and generous to donate their time and advice to this worthy cause. Importantly, the course was an opportunity to spend time formulating and building on our ideas and to connect with an amazing group of other businesswomen and build lifelong connections.
