Inside ProService Finteco’s Strategy: Fund Technology, Regulatory Tools, and Cross-Border Growth

As Luxembourg continues to strengthen its position as a global hub for private investment funds, more Polish fund managers are exploring the Grand Duchy’s flexible structuring options and operational infrastructure.
ProService Finteco, a prominent name in Poland’s financial services sector, takes center stage as this year’s proud sponsor and panelist of the 7th Luxembourg-Poland Business Conference. Titled “Luxembourg’s Private Fund Landscape: Explore Luxembourg’s Fund Toolbox, Operational Best Practices and Tailored Structuring Options for Polish Fund Managers”, the conference will take place on 22 October 2025.
As anticipation builds for the event, tailored for Polish fund managers and investors exploring Luxembourg’s private fund structures and solutions, we delve into the cutting-edge strategies shaping the future of cross-border fund management.
In an exclusive interview, we sat down with Emilia Guz, President, and Paweł Sujecki, Member of the Supervisory Board at ProService Finteco, to discuss the company’s approach to innovation, regulatory strategy, and international expansion.
In this conversation, they share the company’s approach to innovation, regulatory compliance, and international growth; as well as why Luxembourg remains a key market in their long-term strategy.
What does ProService Finteco do and how long have you been operating on the Polish market?
Emilia Guz: We are a company specializing in providing technological solutions and services for financial institutions such as investment fund companies, universal pension companies, insurance companies, banks, and brokerage houses. We focus on creating an environment where technology, operational expertise, and understanding of market regulations translate into a competitive advantage for our business partners. We have been operating in Poland for over 30 years, practically since the inception of the Polish capital market, and for many years we have been a leading provider of operational services and IT tools for financial institutions that operate on the Polish market.
Paweł Sujecki: Currently, 55 entities have an active license to operate as investment fund companies on the Polish capital market. More than half of these entities offer open-ended investment funds. We provide our services to most of them. We render our services to investment fund companies that belong to international capital groups (Goldman Sachs, Generali Investment, Santander, Allianz, Rockbridge, Vienna Insurance Group, Uniqa), as well as to entities with Polish capital (Alior TFI, Skarbiec TFI, Quercus TFI, Investors TFI, mTFI). Of course, we also cooperate with companies focused exclusively on closed-end and alternative investment funds (FIZ). From our clients’ point of view, the quality, security, and comprehensiveness of our services are of utter importance.
How does ProService Finteco support the operation of investment funds?
Emilia Guz: Our offer includes comprehensive support in the areas of operations, administration, fund accounting, asset valuation, end-customer service, and sales of products based on investment funds. Acting on behalf of our clients that operate in a highly regulated legal environment, which increasingly presents them with new and difficult challenges related to, among others, DORA, WCAG, ESG, AML, PRIIP, etc., we provide investment fund companies with tools and processes to support them in fulfilling their obligations.
A very important area in which we have been building our position for years is the implementation and development of IT systems dedicated to the financial sector. We closely follow technological changes and new trends, thanks to which we are able to expand our offer with services in the field of process robotization (RPA) and the use of AI models dedicated to end customer service.
As a transfer agent for roughly 3,800 funds/sub-funds (with assets worth 180 billion PLN), we currently process nearly 40 million transactions per year.
Of course, handling such a huge number of orders and participants would not be possible without a well-functioning IT ecosystem, which consists of a number of applications used, among other things, for order processing, valuation, risk assessment, and other purposes, developed not only in response to regulatory changes but also to meet the growing needs of our business clients.
Paweł Sujecki: Having worked for many years for entities operating in various areas of the capital market, we have observed a growing interest in the complementarity of our services. Therefore, today we hold a 50% stake in Investment Funds Depositary Services Dom Maklerski (IFDS), which provides depositary services for closed-end investment funds. We are also witnessing a growing need for tool support at various levels of distribution processes. Thanks to our technological expertise, we are able to meet these needs by providing our clients with dedicated mobile applications and RoboAdvisory tools. Where possible, we participate in activities initiated by our business partners related to financial education and the promotion of pension products, such as Employee Capital Plans (PPK). It is worth noting that we are also a provider of a PPK management system that is currently used by the managers of these programs.
We strive to take a comprehensive approach, which is why, in addition to providing operational and tool support to funds, we also help investment fund companies develop their offerings based on our market know-how.
With such a huge number of challenges and the amount of work you do, do you still find room for corporate social responsibility activities?
Emilia Guz: In our daily work, while placing great emphasis on technological innovation and the continuous development of analytical tools, we do not forget about our commitment to corporate social responsibility activities that exert a positive impact on the environment and society. We support employee initiatives, charitable activities, and gender equality in hiring. As one of the few companies in the financial market, we are proud to have almost 50% of our employees and an equally high percentage of women in management positions. We have also set up a special ESG team in our company to develop and implement ESG standards and prepare for reporting, but even before the legal regulations requiring companies to implement sustainable development standards came into force, we had undertaken many initiatives in the environmental, social and corporate governance areas.
What are ProService Finteco’s strategic goals?
Paweł Sujecki: ProService Finteco’s strategic goal is to build and strengthen its position as a technological and operational leader not only on the Polish capital market, but also in terms of expansion on foreign markets. We also see and understand the new challenges facing the current capital market, such as modern forms of distribution and the handling and recording of digital assets. We want to be an active participant in these trends.
Is that the reason why ProService Finteco joined the Luxembourg-Poland Chamber of Commerce?
Emilia Guz: Joining the Luxembourg-Poland Chamber of Commerce (LPCC) in 2021 was a decision, among other things, in line with our long-term strategic activities because we had been present on the Luxembourg market for many years and for many reasons. A particularly important reason for our interest in the Luxembourg fund market is its impressive growth dynamics and the number of solutions implemented to support this growth, especially in the area of alternative investments, which are also gaining increasing interest on the Polish market. By learning about the regulations implemented on the Luxembourg market, we can use our experience to help implement them on the domestic market, this way contributing to its growth.
Through our membership in the LPCC and participation in events organized by the Chamber, we are also actively involved in the development of the business community centered around the Chamber.
As a strategic partner of financial institutions that build bridges between the Polish and Luxembourg financial markets, we support companies that operate in a dynamically changing market and regulatory environment. With our vast and long-term experience, advanced and efficient IT systems, as well as a strong team of experts, we make it possible for investment funds to focus on what is most important: building value for investors.
