Pitch Day at the Entrepreneurial Woman Project: What It Is, How It’s Judged, and Why €6,000 in Prizes Is on the Line
If you’ve ever wondered what it actually feels like to pitch your business idea to a room of investors, Pitch Day at the Entrepreneurial Woman Project (EWP) is your answer — minus the terrifying stakes of an actual boardroom (well, mostly).
Every edition of EWP builds toward this single, electric day. It’s the moment where weeks of learning, planning, and late-night spreadsheet wrangling turn into a 3–7 minute performance that could win you real start-up funding. Here’s everything you need to know — what Pitch Day is, how it’s graded, and how to sign up before the next edition kicks off.
So, What Exactly Is Pitch Day?
Pitch Day is the grand finale of the Entrepreneurial Woman Project. Participants step in front of an audience — their “investors” for the day — and present their business idea in a tight 3 to 7-minute window. No more, no less. It’s part TED talk, part investor pitch, part personal storytelling.
The premise is simple but powerful: you’re not just selling a business, you’re selling yourself. Investors don’t just buy into spreadsheets — they buy into people. So Pitch Day is designed to test whether you can be clear, confident, and convincing enough to make a stranger reach for their wallet.
And here’s the best part: it doesn’t matter if you’re already running a business or you’re pitching your very first idea. Everyone competes on equal footing, judged purely on the skills they’ve built throughout the programme.
The Pitch Day Schedule
This edition of the Entrepreneurial Woman Project runs across five Saturdays:
📅 3, 10, 17, 24 October and 14 November 2026
Pitch Day falls on the final session — Saturday, 14 November 2026 — and becomes a full day dedicated entirely to standing up, speaking out, and backing each other — with a proper lunch break in between to catch your breath (and maybe rehearse one more time).
The whole programme then wraps up with a Final Award Ceremony & Gala on Monday, 23 November 2026, where the winners are officially announced in front of the full EWP community, sponsors, and guests.
How Is Pitch Day Graded? It’s Peer-Powered
Here’s what makes Pitch Day genuinely special: the judges are not external investors or industry experts — they’re the other participants. The same women who sat next to you through five Saturdays of workshops, who watched your idea evolve from a rough sketch into a real plan, are the ones scoring your final pitch.
Every pitch is scored out of 30 points by fellow participants, based on six key parameters:
- Business Plan (0-5 points) — Is the idea specific? Does it include a marketing and sales strategy, a budget, audience research, and a clear choice of business entity?
- Structure of the Pitch (0-5 points) — Does the presentation have a proper beginning, middle, and end?
- Presentation Delivery (0-5 points) — Is the message clear? Does the speaker use strong body language, eye contact, and voice intonation — and show up dressed to impress?
- Used Aids (0-5 points) — Did the presenter pull out a memorable graphic, a short video, samples, or pamphlets to make the pitch stick in people’s minds?
- Time Discipline (0-5 points) — Did she land the pitch within the 3–7 minute window?
- Individual Impressions (0-5 points) — The gut-check question: would you actually invest in this business?
There’s no single “correct” format for a winning pitch. Bring props, bring samples, bring a slide deck, or just bring your voice and your story. The format is entirely up to you — as long as you respect the clock.
This peer-grading model is intentional. It means the feedback you get is honest, informed, and rooted in genuine understanding — because these women have lived the same course material, wrestled with the same exercises, and know exactly what it took for you to get to this point. Beyond the official scorecards, expect plenty of informal feedback too: encouragement, advice, and honest reactions from the community you’ve been learning alongside all edition. It’s less “cutthroat investor panel” and more “room full of people who genuinely want to see you win.”
The Real Prize: Funding from Our Sponsors
This is where Pitch Day goes from “great learning experience” to “genuinely life-changing.” Each year, three participants walk away with real start-up funding, generously provided by our sponsors:
🥇 €3,000 — sponsored by Banque de Luxembourg, a leading private and asset management bank recognised for its expertise in wealth management and long-term client relationships.
🥈 €2,000 — sponsored by TMF Group, a global provider of administrative, compliance, and business support services helping companies operate and expand across borders.
🥉 €1,000 — sponsored by AQTEEV, a Luxembourg-based recruitment and SAP consulting firm connecting top talent with the local tech, space, and aviation ecosystem.
That’s €6,000 in combined funding going directly into the hands of women turning ideas into businesses — a testament to how seriously our sponsors believe in the entrepreneurial talent coming out of EWP.
Why Sign Up for the Entrepreneurial Woman Project?
Pitch Day doesn’t come out of nowhere. It’s the culmination of the Entrepreneurial Woman Project, a practical, English-language business programme designed for women in Luxembourg who are ready to build — whether that means launching a brand-new venture or levelling up one that already exists.
Here’s what to expect if you join:
- Five Saturdays of hands-on learning — 3, 10, 17, 24 October and 14 November 2026 — covering everything from business planning to marketing, finance, and personal branding.
- A room full of women who get it — no competition for the sake of competition, just genuine peer support and shared growth.
- Real mentorship and real skills, not just theory. You’ll leave with a business plan you actually believe in.
- A shot at real funding on Pitch Day, judged by the very people who sat next to you in class.
- A Final Award Ceremony & Gala on Monday, 23 November 2026 — a proper celebration of everyone’s growth, complete with networking, sponsors, and the official announcement of the funding winners.
Whether you’re a first-time founder or already running a business and looking to sharpen your pitch, EWP treats everyone as equals — because what matters isn’t where you started, but what you’ve built by the time you take the stage.
